Apple & Eve L.L.C. is a privately held New York-based company specializing in 100 percent juice and organic juice products. The company was founded by Gordon Crane in 1975 upon Crane’s graduation from the University of Rhode Island in 1972.〔 Apple & Eve was listed in Beverage Industry’s Top 100 List of Beverages four times. In 2008, Inc. Magazine listed Apple & Eve #91 in the “Food & Beverage” category in the Inc. 5000, a list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in the United States. Prevention Magazine named Apple & Eve Fruitables Tropical Orange one of the Healthiest Packaged Foods in 2011. ==Company history== In 1975, Gordon Crane founded Apple & Eve,〔 and in 1978, the company introduced its first cranberry product.〔 Apple & Eve became the first company to package 100 percent Juice products in “Brik Pak” aseptic juice boxes in 1982.〔 In 1999, the licensed Sesame Street juice was introduced to the line.〔 Four years later, the Organic Juice line launched. In 2000, Apple & Eve juices became available in 64 oz. PET bottles. In 2005, Apple & Eve, LLC. acquired the Northland Juices brand making Apple & Eve one of the largest Cranberry Juice Brands in the country. In 2007, Apple & Eve received an investment from ClearLight Partners, a California-based private equity firm.〔 In 2009, the company introduced Fruitables, a line of fruit and vegetable juice blended beverages.〔 The Fruitables Berry Berry flavor was chosen as The Chicago Tribune Kid Favorite. Most recently, Apple & Eve launched Fruitables family-size 64 oz. bottles. In July 2014, Lassonde Industries acquired Apple & Eve.
